Medium Tier

Dark energy, via weak lensing and galaxy clustering

What this is

Three-band imaging plus grism spectroscopy. The colours give photometric redshifts; the grism gives spectroscopic ones for the clustering measurement.

Four nested tiers over more than a tenth of the sky. Wide tiers supply the galaxy shapes weak lensing needs; deep tiers calibrate them and reach the earliest galaxies.

Bands

Optical elements this tier observes through

F1061.060 µmY-band; a core High Latitude Wide Area Survey filter.
F1291.293 µmJ-band; a core survey filter.
F1581.577 µmH-band; a core survey filter.
